MoU Signed for Research on Shadow Education Services Among Gifted and Non-Gifted Students

Kaveri Group of Institutes is pleased to announce that an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Prof. János (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary) to launch a collaborative research project on students’ participation in shadow education.

Shadow education refers to private supplementary tutoring pursued outside regular school hours.

The study aims to investigate why and how both gifted and non-gifted students engage in such services, examining the motivations, contextual factors, and perceived benefits or challenges associated with private tutoring. Further, it will explore the academic as well as personal implications of shadow education across student profiles.

This collaboration marks an important step toward enhancing the understanding of learning behaviours within and beyond school systems. The insights generated are expected to inform education policy, school practices, and intervention planning for diverse learner groups.
