About KGERC

Empower the Gifted .

Our Philosophy

KGERC believes that gifted children can become changemakers who can positively impact society and the nation. They have a high capacity for becoming maestros of intellectual, artistic, or academic fields.

An estimated 19 million Indian children in the age group of 6-15 years are gifted. At the Kaveri Gifted Education and Research Center, we recognize the imperative need for a unique approach in the nurturing of gifted children, in their home and educational environments. These kids are just waiting for the shot of the starter pistol, and once they start running, they can run fast and far.

It is thus important for institutions like ours to create opportunities for gifted students to excel. We do that through identification techniques, research programs, developing differentiated curriculums, conducting nurturing programs, collaborating with schools, colleges, and educators, and providing support to parents of gifted children.

Mission

To establish integrated systems within schools that identify and support the needs of gifted children.

Vision

To identify and nurture every gifted child in order to help them reach their potential and contribute towards nation-building.

Gifted education is not a financial liability, it’s a moral and ethical responsibility of equity. Every child has the right to an education that matches their intellectual and artistic needs.

Progression to our advocacy

A brief history

We started in 2009 with our very first identification and nurturing program for gifted students in the Kaveri Group of Institutes. In 2014, we expanded to other schools in Pune and became pioneers in incorporating gifted education into mainstream schooling in the city.

Today, we are the only educational institute to work with gifted students in normal schools with mixed ability classrooms. We cater to all the stakeholders involved in the process of nurturing gifted children, including the parents, teachers, heads of institutes, and of course the children themselves.

As a natural progression to our advocacy, we decided to equip trainers and teachers to run their own independent gifted education programs in their institutions. Today, with courses for educators and support groups for parents, we deploy gifted education programs in schools and colleges that operate autonomously.
