At KGERC, we consider it vital to sensitize educators to the nuances of gifted education. A good teacher is not someone who teaches well but learns well. Giftedness educators do need to bear a learning curve in order to understand the bespoke requirements of nurturing gifted students.

Equipping Future Giftedness Educators

Certificate Course in Gifted Education

Apart from regular orientations for teachers and school counsellors, we also offer a specialized certificate course for educators.

  • Module 01: Introduction to Giftedness
    Identifying gifted children and interpreting formal and informal assessments.
  • Module 02: Curriculum for the gifted ​​
    Designing activities that will challenge their abilities and enhance their critical and creative thinking skills.​
  • Module 03: Facilitating a Gifted Program
    Facilitating activities to support the socio-economic well-being of gifted children.
  • Module 04: Counselling the Gifted
    Guiding parents of gifted students and designing gifted programs at schools.

Duration:

  • 48 hours certificate course
  • 12 online sessions, 2 hours each
  • 3 days of field visits

Mathematics and Science Activities

Jigyasa - An Impetus to a Curious Mind
For age 10+ years

This book of 20 activities is presented to the young learners whose curiosity tends them to explore through the natural world. This set of 10 activities each within the academic strands of Mathematics and Science, intends to provide rich stimuli and also guides them through understanding of various concepts using self-learning methods such as observation, guided exploration or in some cases focussed discussion with peer or adult experts. The open-ended questions are ample, so as to develop a strong analytical mind. The online
web links given will help the learners to look out for in-depth conceptual understanding or find more of such exploratory activities.
